If you have Windows Live Messenger 2011 install, the Export Contacts function is removed from messenger, not longer located in the Tools menu option. Fortunately, the chance to export your contact lists (or just mail contacts in live or hotmail) into another WLM 2011 (or jsut for backup purposes) account in a file format is still available. Read the steps below.
Exporting Contacts in Windows Live Messenger 2011.
- Sign in to the Windows Live Mail account you want to get the contacts exported from (by this we mean the site, not messenger itself).
- On the left sidebar you will see a series or menus and options, among the last you will find Contacts (before calendar), click on it.
- In order to export the list into another MSN messenger 2011 account click on Manage >>> Export (This option is located in the horizontal bar right next to edit, new delete)
- You will end up creating a .csv file format and saving it to your computer. After that you can import it to the other WLM 2011 account.
